Mechanist (RTO 6194) delivers government-subsidised automotive apprenticeships and traineeships in South Australia under the Skills SA Subsidised Training framework. Who is eligible for SA government-subsidised training?
Skills SA uses a Subsidised Training List (STL) model. If your qualification is on the STL and you meet the eligibility criteria, the government pays the majority of training costs.

Mechanist confirms SA residency/employment, citizenship, USI and qualification eligibility before any commitments are made.
Training Account created in the Skills SA system. This must occur before any training commences — no exceptions.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment completed. Results inform your support plan and training approach.
Formal enrolment completed. Training Plan signed by student, employer and Mechanist. Training contract verified.
Training delivered at your workplace. A dedicated Mechanist trainer visits regularly — no campus, no blocks.
Regular AVETMISS reporting submitted. Claims lodged on unit and qualification completion. Mechanist handles all compliance obligations.
