Motorcycle Mechanic — Nationally Recognised Training
The Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology is the trade qualification for motorcycle mechanics. Covers servicing, diagnostics and repairs across all major brands including road bikes, off-road, scooters and powersports. Delivered entirely in the workplace.
Motorcycle dealerships and powersports service centres consistently seek qualified mechanics. The growing adventure bike and electric motorcycle segments are creating new demand for trade-qualified technicians.
Training and assessment is workplace-based at your dealership, motorcycle workshop or powersports service centre. Mechanist has strong relationships with Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki and independent motorcycle dealers.
Qualified motorcycle mechanics typically earn $65,000–$95,000 per year. Senior dealership technicians, particularly in high-volume powersports and prestige motorcycle brands, earn at the higher end.
No formal entry requirements. You must be employed (or able to secure employment) as an apprentice at a motorcycle dealership, workshop or powersports service centre.
