The Certificate IV In Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis is to be introduced to the Automotive industry and some basic skills and knowledge that will help them as they move towards a Traineeship or Apprenticeship.
With this qualification you can carry out advanced diagnostic operations in the automotive retail, service and repair environment, the job role is referred to as an automotive lead or master technician, or an automotive technical adviser.

Those undertaking the Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis must have completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency. We will also assess a potential leaners’ capability through our Pre-Training Review process which includes an assessment of your Language Literacy and Numeracy skills.
Further training pathways from this qualification include Diploma of Automotive Management, AUR50212 Diploma in Automotive Technology or other relevant qualifications.
This qualification can be pursued as a Non-apprenticeship.
We create Training Plans that are specific to workplaces. We blend your learning and assessment between attending workshops in our campus if required and structured workplace training in an automotive workplace.
This nationally recognised qualification generally takes approx. 12 months to complete.
