Further training pathways from this qualification include Certificate IV in Automotive Management or other relevant qualifications.

At Mechanist, we offer our qualification both as Apprenticeship and Non-apprenticeship.

An apprenticeship is a structured training arrangement. It is a learning pathway that combines paid on-the-job training and formal study with a Registered Training Organisation. It’s a great way to gain a nationally recognised qualification while earning a wage rather than having to choose one over the other! You can begin this apprenticeship while you are still at school, just out of school, or later in life and will be required to enter into a training contract with your employer.

At MECHANIST, we create personalised Training Plans for each of our Apprentices where we incorporate learning that is specific to your workplace. We blend your learning and assessment between attending workshops in our campus and structured training in the workplace. We take what you’re already good at and make you even better.

This nationally recognised qualification can take between two to three years to complete but may be completed earlier within our flexible learning environment.

“On Campus (Non-Apprenticeship) delivery enables you to gain a full qualification. Learners will be required to attend structured Workshop Sessions at MECHANIST Campus. A Learner can choose to engage either full-time or part-time to complete the course in this delivery mode.

Structured Work Placement is an essential part of a Non-Apprenticeship. A minimum of 10 weeks Structured Work Placement is required to obtain your qualification.”
